		<title>Bar owners consider what new tax will do</title>
		<description><![CDATA[In Crescent Township's Tinkers Tavern, ire over Allegheny County's new drink tax flows as freely as the libations.

The opinions mirror the feelings of bar and restaurant owners across the county.

The drink tax, approved last week by the Allegheny County Council to fill a $30 million budget gap and provide dedicated funding for the Port Authority, has riled restaurateurs, diners, bar owners and alcohol aficionados.

The tax, which adds a 10 percent charge on alcohol from bars and restaurants, will dramatically cut profits, drive business across county lines and, in some cases cause businesses to close, they say. ]]></description>
